Welcome to AssistAble, home of the BITE Box. Founded in 2025, my goal is to provide SLPs a new, innovative way to evaluate and treat dysphagia. After working in a variety of settings, I found myself looking for ways to trial textures that weren't apple sauce, peaches, and crackers. At the same time, I found myself running around facilities for trial items, feeling discouraged by the food-waste, and wishing there was an easier way to trial textures. When I couldn't find an item that fit my needs, I decided to make it myself.

As a practicing SLP, my goal is to provide a product that eases our work-load and planning, helps with efficiency, and provides a new way to educate and trial textures. Not only can the BITE Box be used for dysphagia evaluations, but they are also useful in treatment sessions.

As a Pennsylvania native, I completed my bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The Pennsylvania State University in 2021. In 2023 I earned my masters in Speech Language Pathology from Baylor University. I have had the opportunity to treat across the life-span through working in outpatient pediatrics, inpatient rehab, and home health.
